HARM REDUCTION SPECIALIST

My name is Krishna Taroc and I am one of the harm reduction specialists at Maui AIDS Foundation. My family and I are from the northern part of the Philippines called Cagayan Valley. I moved to Maui back in 2012 and have been living in Kahului since then. I went to Maui High School and obtained my Master’s Degree in Social Work through an online program offered by the University of Hawai’i- Manoa. On my free time, I love to spend time with my daughter. I enjoy singing, reading, watching sunsets, and I am a coffee enthusiast. I have always been passionate about mental health and hope to bring awareness and break mental health stigma around Filipino/Asian families. I am an empath and someone who likes to look at the brighter side of things.
